Information WNW Collects About You

Information You Give Us 

WNW collects certain personal information directly from you when you sign up for our services.

Talent: In order to use the WNW service as “Talent” to be considered for projects by our member companies, you must create a profile. To create a profile you must give us your: name, email address, work history, prior clients or employers, education and, your estimated billing rate. You will also be asked to provide samples of your work.

Hirer: In order to use the WNW services as a “Hirer” you must create an account which includes creating a user name and password. To create an account you must give us your:  first & last name, email address, company name, country, street address, phone number. You must also choose a usage and payment plan and provide a credit card for payment. WNW uses Stripe as our credit card processor.Stripe processes your payment and provides WNW with a code that identifies you as a customer and confirms which services you purchased. Information We Collect Indirectly 

WNW also collects other information from you passively, just by virtue of being on our website.

Cookies – Cookies are bits of information stored on your web browser sent to by websites you visit. Cookies help keep your settings, log-ins and other customizations when you return to the particular website. They also help with overall website functionality. WNW uses three types of cookies: (1) session, (2) persistent cookies and (3) third party cookies.

(1)The session cookie is used to identify the type of user so that you may view the pages which correspond to your account type; Talent or Hirer. These disappear when you close your browser.

(2)Persistent or permanent cookies are used for the same purpose; to identify the type of user Talent or Hirer to the website however, these remain active for one (1) year unless you clear your browser and delete all cookies.

(3) Our third parties also use cookies, please reference that section below. 

WNW does not use “tracking” cookies which follow users’ online activity between unrelated websites. WNW does work with a variety of third parties who may use tracking cookies and other technologies that may to track you across websites. Below are the third party services WNW uses. We encourage you to read the policies and terms of these third parties.

Google Analytics – WNW uses Google Analytics for reports and visitor website usage information. The Google Analytics service uses cookies to track website usage and shares this information with other Google services, including its advertising network. You can change your browser settings at any time so that it will not automatically accept cookies. You may also clear cookies from your browser at any time.

Do Not Track

You can set your browser settings to “Do Not Track.” Doing this sends a signal to websites, ad networks and plug-in providers about your preferences. WNW does not use tracking cookies and WNW does not respond to the Do Not Track signal.

Sharing Your Information

WNW does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties. WNW shares your personal information only with third parties who support our services such as Stripe for credit card processing and Mailchimp for email distribution. WNW may also share your personal information with third parties with whom we have agreements to help maintain and update our database.

If required to provide information to law enforcement or other government authorities, we will make the information demanded of us available. WNW reserves the right to use and or share aggregated, not directly identifiable information about its customers, users and website visitors with third parties.

For Talent prospects located in the European Union and European Economic Area (we refer to this as the EU).

We are Working Not Working, Inc., a New York corporation located at located at 223 N 8th Street #S2B Brooklyn, NY 11211 (WNW or “we”).  We collect the personal details you give us, including your CV, work experience, work samples, contact details, salary range, details for payment (“Personal Data”) in order that “Hirers” within the WNW network may review your background to determine if you are suited for one of their projects.

Please be aware that the WNW servers and database(s) are located in the United States of America which has privacy and data protection laws that are different than those in other jurisdictions, including the data protection laws of the EU.  By uploading your Personal Data to create a Profile, you are giving us your explicit consent to: 

  1. transfer your data from the EU to the United States of America and 
  2. use your Personal Data as part of the WNW Talent pool.

WNW stores your Personal Data in our system for up to 30 days from the time you delete your account or longer if we are required to do so by applicable laws and regulations.  Apart from WNW’s personnel, we only share your contact details and salary requirements with Hirers within the WNW network.  However, as our Talent pool is publicly available on the WNW website, anyone may see your work, description of your skills and employment history.  

You have the right to request the following from us at anytime:

  • Access to all of the Personal Data WNW has about you in our system
  • Correction of any inaccurate or changed information about you in our system/records
  • Request that WNW stop using your Personal Data for the purposes described here and in our Terms of Use
  • Request that WNW delete all of your Personal Data from our Talent pool, website and server
  • Request that WNW provide you with a copy of your Personal Data that we have in a commonly used format 
  • Withdraw the consent you have given us to use your Personal Data

Please note that if you withdraw your consent or ask us to stop using your Personal Data, these requests will not affect any of the use or your Personal Data prior to the time you withdraw your consent.  If applicable laws or regulations require that we maintain some of your Personal Data, for example for tax reporting purposes, we will let you know that when we fulfill your request.
